The AI agent for chartered accountants: automate the entry, free up the advice
Entry, matching and checking documents take up a considerable share of staff time — without being the value the client actually pays for: advice. Your AI agent absorbs that repetitive work. Hosted in France — on local inference or an isolated resource — financial data stays under control. The chartered accountant keeps the decision.

In an accountancy practice, a Blue Lemon Agent agent automates the repetitive tasks — entry, matching, anomaly checks, supplier invoice processing — and answers clients' everyday questions. It runs on local inference or is hosted in France: financial data is never exposed to a foreign service, architecture designed to reduce exposure to extraterritorial legislation, location alone not being enough to guarantee immunity. Production time is redirected towards higher-value advice. Live within a few weeks.

Why AI matters to practices — and why they hesitate
Clients increasingly want less plain accounts production and more advice. But available time is mechanically reduced by entry and review — and the data involved is the most sensitive there is.
! The issue
The practice is caught between clients who want steering and optimisation, and an ever-growing production workload (entry, matching, checking, invoices). Yet most consumer AI solutions amount to entrusting turnover, margins, pay and bank accounts to a third party, often hosted outside Europe and subject to the Cloud Act.
✓ Our answer
AI is only of interest to a practice if it is sovereign and confidential by design. Local inference or an isolated resource hosted in France, systematic human oversight, decisions reserved to the accountancy professional: the time saved on production is never paid for in lost confidentiality. The aim is not to replace the chartered accountant, but to give them back thinking time.
Confidentiality of financial data: sovereignty & compliance
A practice handles its clients' most sensitive data. Here is how the architecture of our agents protects it, file by file.
Local inference
The agent can run on a machine in the practice: no document leaves the network, nothing passes through a cloud.
Hosting in France
Otherwise, a dedicated and isolated resource, hosted in France under French law — your data: processing and access within the European Union targeted by the architecture.
Reduced extraterritorial exposure
Exposure of financial data to the Cloud Act and FISA 702 is reduced by design; location alone does not guarantee immunity.
One isolated resource per practice
No pooling of financial data: an environment strictly dedicated to your practice.
Encryption & controlled access
Encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access (RBAC), strong authentication and logging.
AI Act: governed deployment
An agent strictly in support; no entry approved automatically; traceability and human oversight from end to end.
What depends on the architecture chosen These points are not general guarantees: they are settled deployment by deployment, in the quotation.
- The applicable location is that of the architecture set out in the quotation and verified before commissioning.
- Local execution is announced only for the configuration explicitly described and accepted in the quotation.
- The applicable isolation depends on the deployment mode set out in the quotation; no dedicated isolation is presumed.
- The encryption mechanisms in transit and at rest, their components and key management are those documented for the architecture chosen.
- Roles and permissions are configured and accepted for the identities and systems actually connected.
- The events logged, their content, their retention period and who may access them are defined for the deployment chosen.

5 real situations, taken from those that come up most often. Pick one: the exchange unfolds as it would in your organisation.
A scripted demonstration. These exchanges show how the agent behaves — its sources, its refusals, what it leaves to your teams. Nothing is sent from this page, no model is queried here, and the matters named are fictional. That is precisely what we promise your data.
The behaviours shown here — monitoring, automation rules, routing and reminders — are configured with you during deployment, from your tools, your rules and your thresholds.
The architecture points named in these exchanges — location, local execution, isolation, encryption, role-based access, logging — are not a guarantee attached to the demonstration: they are those of the architecture set out in your quotation, and verified before commissioning.
· Grandet SAS — November's VAT is due for filing in 4 days and the return is not approved.
· Solni Distribution — the suspense account has doubled in three weeks: €6,200 unallocated, against €2,900 on 15/07.
· Verel & Fils — no entries since 12/07. Either the documents have stopped coming, or they are going somewhere else.
· Halbran SARL — a supplier changed bank details between two payments, and the notification email comes from a domain one character away from the supplier's. portfolio-watch_4-alerts.csv12 files watched · 4 alerts
⛓ Source · 12 client files, entries and journals
Three things line up: the account differs from the one used for the last six payments; the sender's domain differs by one character from the supplier's; and the request lands three days before a €18,400 payment falls due.
I block nothing and I do not alert the bank — that is not my role, and a false alarm has a cost. What I do: the payment is flagged to the person handling the file, with the six bank details compared and the email header analysed.
A call to the supplier on their usual number — not the one in the email — settles it in two minutes. bank-details-analysis_Halbran.pdf6 accounts compared · header analysed
✎ Support · documented pattern — the check is the practice's
With a follow-up: no action after 48 hours, a reminder goes to the assistant; after 72 hours, to the responsible accountant. The thresholds are yours.
And a weekly summary for the partner: alerts open, alerts handled, alerts left unanswered. A state of the files, not a ranking of people — the distinction is not cosmetic, it decides whether the tool is used or worked around. alert-routing_proposal.csv4 alerts · recipients · thresholds

Four points to settle:
· suspense account — €2,340 unallocated since March, 6 documents;
· an expense of €1,800 invoiced on 28 December for a service delivered in January — which year it belongs to is yours to decide;
· a customer cleared by a credit note with no supporting document on file;
· the cash account shows a credit balance on 14 November, which is impossible.
No entry has been posted: these are proposals. review_Grandet-SAS_2026.csvbalances justified · 4 points open missing-documents.pdf6 items from the suspense account
⛓ Source · trial balance, ledger and documents on file
Two explanations both hold — a back-dated entry, or takings never recorded — and nothing on file settles it. I am not deciding: the correcting entry depends on which one is true.
✎ Support · anomaly documented — the call is the accountant's
One gap flagged: €412 between the VAT recorded as collected and the VAT computed on the declared turnover. It comes from three export invoices entered at 20% instead of being zero-rated.
The return is neither approved nor filed. VAT-return_Grandet-SAS_november.pdfpre-filled · 1 gap to settle
⛓ Source · VAT accounts, period ledger extract
The regenerated return shows no gap.
The entries are waiting for your approval, and the filing for your signature.
One observation: the same check run across the other 11 clients in the portfolio brings out 2 comparable gaps, also on export invoices. Shall I prepare them?
And if you decide so, this check can run on its own at every month-end close, across the whole portfolio: you would only see the clients where a gap appears. No entry would be posted and no return filed — the check flags, it does not do the bookkeeping. You switch it on, you switch it off. A certificate engages the chartered accountant's liability and carries their signature; it assumes work that has not been done here, and it falls outside the current engagement letter.
What I am preparing: turnover excluding VAT by year, an extract of the sales ledger, the trial balance at the date requested, and the practice's certificate template, pre-filled. certificate-evidence_Grandet-SAS.pdfturnover by year · extracts · template
✎ Support · evidence assembled — the certificate is the accountant's act
What I can do to speed this up: list the checks the certificate assumes, and tick the ones the year-end review already covers. Two remain. checks-outstanding.csv9 checks · 7 already covered
✎ Support · list of checks — the signature stays a professional act
Two movements explain most of it: gross margin is down 3.1 points on a single customer, and external charges are up 14% following the change of logistics provider in September.
Figures as the books stand: the four open review points are not included. interim-accounts_Grandet-SAS_30-11.pdfP&L · balance sheet · variances
⛓ Source · entries to 30 November, prior year for comparison
I can hand over to your Forecasting and planning agent, which projects from history and from assumptions you set. Shall I pass the accounts on?
✎ Support · limit reached — handover offered
Each assumption is stated separately and can be changed: the logistics provider stays, the main customer's contract is renewed, no new investment.
The second is the decisive one: without that customer, the projected result turns negative in month 7. The sensitivity is quantified. forecast_Grandet-SAS_12-months.csv3 assumptions · sensitivity quantified

Nothing is commented on or recommended — two agents, a single point of supervision, and it is the chartered accountant who presents it to the client.
